Handbook on Cut Flowers

This photographic assignment took place over a ten week period and the flowers ranged from the exotic orchid to a classical red rose. The initial specification for the job arrived in latin and was composed of the genus name of the flowers followed by their species name. It’s enlightening to know that a Zygopetalum Wendlandii is a member of the Orchid family.

Michelle Chaplow's work has been published worldwide in magazines, newspapers, books, leaflets, corporate brochures and websites. An image really can be worth a thousand words and photographs are like any precious pieces: it’s no good having them locked away out of view. According to Michelle,  “The pleasure gained from sharing photographs in publications is indeed a treasure in itself.”
