Espagne
Translated into English, the title of the book, ‘Espagne, La lumière Retrouvée’, means, ‘ Spain, The light Rediscovered’. This image of the village of Huélamo in the Sierra de Cuenca is exactly that. The image wasn’t planned; Michelle was driving to another destination and the light compelled her to stop. She had to climb a fence and wade through two fields of mud to avoid having electrical cables cutting right across the potential photograph. Michelle just managed to capture it in time before the whole village was obscured by cloud.Nature doesn’t provide unlimited windows of opportunity for photography; sometimes it’s a tease and a challenge
