May photographic workshop with Michelle Chaplow.The month of May in Andalucia is spectacular for wild flowers and luscious light, the course will not only take in breath taking landscapes, you will also have the chance to catch up on two amazing Andalucia festivals in the historic towns of Ronda and Cordoba. Day One Thursday 15th May Day one arrival in Estepona, meet and greet, local imagery, fishing ports, quaint village scenes, travel photography angles, evening sunset across the Straits of Gibraltar to Africa. Overnight in Estepona. Day Two Friday 16th May Travelling from Michelle's photographic studio in Estepona, overland to Cordoba, to the Cordoba Patio Festival, where private homes open the doors to their traditional patios covered in flowers and vines often with Andalusian ceramics and mosaics in the backdrop. This unique opportunity allows photographers to capture a tradition that dates back to 1918, in which local residents compete annually with a wide array of colour and designs within the most quintessentially Cordoba context. In the evening many patios offer traditional tapas and refreshments among their jasmine filled patios with the occasional live guitarist, playing under the evening skies of this historic town. Overnight in Cordoba. Day Three Saturday 17th May We will spend the morning visiting and photographing more unique patios, both the most traditionally Andalucian and other totally modern examples. A leisurely afternoon travelling and photographing off the beaten track villages and parklands of Andalucia. May is the best month of the year for capturing wild flowers.

Day Four Sunday 18th May
Photographic coverage of a unique event. The spectacular festival of the Virgin de la Cabeza in Ronda, where men and women parade through the town in traditional dress, leaving on Sunday morning from the Merced convent and crossing the famous Tajo bridge, prime vantage points have been arranged.
Round up and summary. All levels and skills are catered for ranging from beginners to experts. Southern Spain is a perfect place to learn or improve your photography skills thanks to a culture that provides endless enchanted themes and lighting that is superb for those looking through a lens.
